Course Criteria
Written and Performance Exams
Included with each class are written exams. Hands-on classes include perfomance exams. The instructor
will maintain records of grades and performance exams. All examination results will be recorded and
maintained in the student's records at MIMT.
Student Progress Reports
At the 25%, 50%, and 75% stages of the program the instructor will complete a report evaluating the
student's conduct, attitudes, and progress at MIMT. These reports become part of the student's permanent
file, and a copy is provided to the student by the instructor. In addition to the Progress Report, student's
attendance records are kept. The attendance records record the student's class hours and activities. They
verify the contact hour requirement and help monitor the quality of the learning experience.
Certification of Completion
When the student successfully completes all of the requirements for certification, MIMT will issue an
official MIMT certificate of graduation given to the student at the graduation ceremony. After the student
has graduated from MIMT, he/she may apply to take the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage
and Bodywork and/or other state exams.
