Philosophy: Modular Learning

Each course is divided into a number of learning objectives. Many of the courses are designed to build upon the mastery of the preceding one. This design assures the students continued competency throughout the program.

The courses are designed and organized to lead students sequencially through the learning experience. Each course lists Learning Objectives for students to master. Courses include assignments from the texts and activities students must complete.

The hands-on segment of the course calls for students to be shown and have the opportunity to practice technical massage skills. The basic skills are described in the curriculum, but the instructor will demonstrate additional skills that have proven effective or even invaluable in his own experience. Throughout the course many of these tricks of the trade are shared.

By mastering each of the courses, students will learn practical massage skills, knowledge of anatomy and physiology and business skills needed to enter the field as a successful massage therapist. Students will be well prepared to interact with MDs, chiropractors, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals in regard to treatment protocol and medical terminology.
