Student Massage Clinics &
Event Practicums
Student Clinics
  1. Massage experience
  2. The theraputic relationship
  3. Business management experience
  4. Student assessment tool for the instructors

Student clinics provide the general public discounted massage sessions with the students. The clinics provide the students great practical experience in massage and business training. Specific information is drawn from each students participation in the clinic setting. Students will be graded on therapist/patient interaction, soap charting, attendance and attitude.

Student clinics will be held one to two Saturdays each month. Students accumulate these hours to meet the practicum hours required for graduation from MIMT.

Event Practicum

Event practicums are part of the school's vision to involve the MIMT students in community service as part of their practical application. Massage as community service creates an excellent opportunity, engaging the students in learning not only about massage but about the realities of interaction with the patient. Some event examples include sporting events, nurse's day, women's health day, men's health day, walk for life, Red Cross event, etc.
